Deborah Abela

If you're going to be a good writer, the biggest skill you need is to be good at making trouble...

Grimsdon
Wolfie an unlikely hero
Max Remy
Final Storm

After completing a teaching degree, Deborah Abela went to Africa where she was caught in a desert sandstorm, harassed by monkeys and thrown in jail…twice! She has written 26 books, including the Max Remy Superspy and Jasper Zammit (Soccer Legend) series. Her crankiness about climate change led to the novels, Grimsdon, New City and Final Storm. Her first picture book is, Wolfie, An Unlikely Hero and was chosen by Dolly Parton to be part of her Imagination Library. She is a proud ambassador for the Premier’s Reading Challenge, Room to Read and Books in Homes.
