About Littlescribe

A story-first company, built by educators and believers in every child’s voice.

Littlescribe exists to ignite a love of writing. With the right modelling, inspiration, and support, every child has a story that can shape hearts, minds, and the world around them.

Founded by Jenny Atkinson, innovator and literacy advocate, Littlescribe began with a question:

What if children didn’t just learn to write — but understood why it matters, and were seen, heard, and empowered as published writers?

That idea sparked a national movement.

Today, Littlescribe is Australia’s premier student writing platform, partnering with leading authors and schools across the country.

We’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when young people find their voice — and know it matters.

We create breakthrough moments that ignite the desire to write.

If you’re an educator who’s ever wondered whether your students feel truly heard — this is for you. And if you’re a parent, you’ll see what happens when your child finds their voice, writes with purpose, and holds a book they created in their own hands. HPGE students take rich, deep journeys.

Non-writers discover their voice. Students of all abilities are embraced, elevated, and empowered.

We honour pride, purpose, and progress—not perfection. That’s what inspires the courage to express, create, and keep going.

Immerse your students in a writing adventure with Australia’s top storytellers.
A program that inspires, models, and brings purpose to every page.

Our Mission

To make writing real, purposeful, and powerful — by helping every student be recognised, celebrated, and published as an author.

Our Vision

A world where students don’t just consume stories — they create them.

Writing is more than a skill. It’s how we shape ideas, make meaning, and discover what we think. It’s a bridge to identity, learning, and connection. Students’ writing is revered, respected, and read—by their peers, families, and the wider world.

Our Commitment

We use technology not to copy and paste, but to understand what each child cares about, how to truly engage them, and how to accelerate learning in ways that activate creativity, not compliance.

Who We Work With

We collaborate with Australia’s leading storytellers — authors, illustrators, scientists, and First Nations knowledge holders — to bring their creative and cultural expertise into real, purposeful learning experiences.

Their knowledge is passed directly into the hands of the next generation: future social workers, plumbers, poets, lawyers, nurses, and activists. We’re equipping the voices shaping today — and leading tomorrow.

When young people learn to think deeply and express boldly, they shape a future guided by the best of who we are.

Our Programs

We offer five core programs — each a creative writing program for kids — that guide students from first spark to published book in both print and digital form.

Author Masterclass Program

Interactive workshops led by Australia’s top authors and cultural creators

The Co-Author Program

Students write alongside real authors to develop voice and skill

Deadly Writing Festival

A national celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander storytelling

Book Creation Tools

Students become published authors through digital publishing for schools, in both print and online formats

Book Printing

Includes the Inspiration Library student exemplars that break down barriers, connect classrooms across the country, and ignite powerful ideas

These programs are also used as part of a flexible homeschool writing curriculum, giving families tools to support confident, capable expression.

Each program transforms imagination into structured expression — helping students create books that live in classrooms, libraries, and homes around the world.

Our Impact — Real Stories, Real Reach

Imagine buying one book or 1,000 — the process is the same. Our platform lets schools focus on what matters: the story, the voice, and the learning — not the process of publishing.

Whether it’s a classroom, a homeschool family, or a system-wide rollout, our pricing and platform are flexible, scalable, and ready.

1,000+ schools and 250,000+ students engaged.

Over 1 Million pages of student writing published.

National programs like the Mini-Writing Festival and Deadly Writing Festival

Collaborated with UNESCO Earth School education departments and First Nations programs.
